The first ever Battle of the Bay took place in the east bay as well as San Francisco, with a hill climb, fixed crit, and alleycat to round things off. Click below the jump for a few select shots from the weekend and head on over to the flickr for a full batch of the fun!
Big thanks to Zach and Josh for making it happen, and to all the volunteers for helping out.

Bike Messengers from around the bay area and beyond came to SF this last Saturday for the Quake City Rumble main race. With a great turnout, and a lively bunch, I had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and racing around to check points to catch the action. Oh and there was pie.
Lots of respect for everyone who showed up to shred around the city, regardless of skill level. Click past the bridge below to see a select group of gems, but head over to the Flickr for the full set!

Best way to discover your city is by getting out of it and exploring what lays beyond
The other day me, James, and Keith ran around the city for a little while talking about a couple future SF Sprints projects in the works. Got a quick shot of James’ bike on the top of a sharp climb up to pass the bridge (and a crap load of tourists)
Not really a mountain, but climbing in the Oakland hills today brought many satisfying views, including some gnarly purple moss. Get out there and get some!
Spending some much needed time away from the city with family in the country this weekend. Sometimes all you need to do is get away from everything for a minute and listen to what the rest of the world sounds like.
Quick shot I took while riding home through Oakland the other day. This bike is old as hell but damn can she move.
